Glyphosate Testing Data for Lay's Chips

Lay's potato chips have been included in Mamavation's environmental testing program. While chips are generally less tested than cereals, potato products from conventional farming can carry pesticide residue depending on the growing region and pre-harvest practices. Current data on Lay's is limited to select Mamavation rounds.

No independent lab data for PepsiCo

ClearPantry's current dataset covers 100 grocery products tested by EWG (2018, 2022), Mamavation (2022, 2023, 2026), and US PIRG (2019). PepsiCo has not been individually tested in these programs. We do not add PPB data without an independent, cited source — and we say so here.

Verdict

Lay's has not been broadly included in EWG's cereal testing. Lab data for Lay's chips specifically is limited in ClearPantry's current dataset. For alternatives, organic or non-GMO verified chip brands offer lower-residue options.
