Glyphosate Testing Data for Goya Chickpeas

Goya is one of the most widely distributed Latin food brands in the U.S., and chickpeas are a staple in many Goya products. US PIRG's investigation did not specifically test Goya, but Mamavation's 2026 testing of store-brand and national legume products has shown elevated residues in conventional brands. Specific lab data for Goya is not currently in ClearPantry's dataset.

No independent lab data for Goya Foods

ClearPantry's current dataset covers 100 grocery products tested by EWG (2018, 2022), Mamavation (2022, 2023, 2026), and US PIRG (2019). Goya Foods has not been individually tested in these programs. We do not add PPB data without an independent, cited source — and we say so here.

Verdict

Goya chickpeas have not been individually tested in ClearPantry's current dataset. Store-brand and Walmart-adjacent chickpeas (Great Value, rank #14) showed high residues at 889 ppb. Goya's sourcing practices make lab data difficult to obtain without independent testing.
